Sheldon Slate is a very highly metamorphisized slate. The slate found in the New England region of the US is noted for its high quality. Our slate is freeze thaw resistant, acid resistant and exhibits a very smooth cleft. We have perfected the art of honing our slate to a satin smooth finish, unlike any other stone.
